Good morning
Just a reminder that we have the information sessions happening today from 2pm till 3pm for parents and caregivers about the Keeping Ourselves Safe Programme. Please see the information below that went out in the newsletter about this:
Keeping Ourselves Safe Programme
During Term 2 our Kowhai and Pōhutukawa Block ākonga will be participating in the Keeping Ourselves Safe Programme. This is a comprehensive child abuse prevention programme for schools.
Its purpose is to:
-teach students a range of safe practices that they can use when interacting with other people, both online and face to face.
-teach students how to recognise the difference between healthy and unhealthy relationships, and encourage students who have been or are being abused to seek help.
-prevent abuse by making parents and teachers more aware of their responsibilities to help students avoid abuse.
Our School Community Officer ‘Blue” McCaffrey will be coming to run a Parent Information Session on Tuesday 26th May in our Whareroa /Hall from 2:00pm – 3:00pm. He will explain the programme in more detail and answer any questions you may have.
Kind regards

Kia ora e te whānau,
This Friday, 15 May, we will be colouring our kura bright pink in support of Pink Shirt Day and our commitment to standing up against bullying.
Our newly appointed Pou Ārahi will be leading the day with a range of fun activities that promote kindness, inclusion, and unity across our school.
We encourage all ākonga to wear as much pink as they can to help us fill the school with positivity and support this important kaupapa.
As part of the celebrations, students are invited to enter the Design‑a‑T‑Shirt competition, with the chance to win a $200 Prezzie Card, generously provided by Jess Setu. This competition is across many schools, we will be doing our own within-school competition also.
We’re looking forward to a vibrant, uplifting day for our tamariki and community.
Ngā mihi nui, Dylan and The Pou Ārahi
